The Ministry of Health and Community Protection announced that more than 26,000 new examinations will be conducted on different groups in society, in line with its plan to expand and increase the scope of examinations in the country, with the aim of early detection, inventory of cases infected with the emerging coronavirus (Covid 19) and those who come in contact with them and isolate them.
She said that the intensification of the investigation and examination procedures in the country, and the expansion of the scope of the tests contributed to the detection of 557 new cases of the virus, of different nationalities, all of which are stable and subject to the necessary health care.
Thus, the total number of recorded cases is 13 thousand and 38 cases.
The ministry also announced six deaths of infected persons of different nationalities, as a result of the consequences of infection of the emerging corona virus, especially as they were suffering from chronic diseases.
This brings the number of deaths in the country to 111.
The Ministry expressed its regret and condolences to the families of the deceased, and its wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured, calling on community members to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions, and adhere to social divergence, to ensure the health and safety of all.
The Ministry also announced that 114 new cases of people infected with the virus had recovered, and that they had fully recovered from the symptoms of the disease, after receiving the necessary health care, thus bringing the total number of cure cases to 2543.
