He will have tried everything to escape the arrest. In vain. Monday evening, a 25-year-old man was arrested in Pierre-Bénite, south of Lyon, after a series of traffic crimes and violence against police officers.

Around 7 p.m., while driving without an exit certificate, the man with multiple criminal records, saw CRS at the roadside in Pierre-Bénite, carrying out checks. He then refuses to comply with the orders of the police and flees, driving at high speed and burning several red lights on the way, said Thursday the Lyon police.

Sentenced and left free

Followed, the man struck three times a police vehicle then fled on foot to join a group of individuals who attacked the police. Police reinforcements are immediately called to the rescue and the suspect ends up being arrested in stride in the Hautes-Roches district.

At the end of his police custody, the young man, who admitted the facts by explaining that he fled because he was driving without a certificate, was tried Wednesday in immediate appearance. He was sentenced to 15 months in prison, including eight suspended, and was left free, adds this Thursday the safety of the Rhone.
