China News Service, April 30. It is reported that mainland China requires artists from Hong Kong and Taiwan to "state their patriotism" and to ensure that they are "politically correct" within 10 years. Otherwise, audiovisual platforms and film and television companies may not be hired. The Taiwan Mainland Affairs Council claimed that political factors should not be involved in the professional creation of art, film and television. In this regard, Zhu Fenglian, a spokesman for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, said on the 30th that the relevant claims were purely fabricated.

Zhu Fenglian said that we have always actively supported cross-strait film and television exchanges, welcome Taiwanese artists to develop on the mainland, and support more Taiwanese entertainers to share opportunities, realize dreams in the development process of the mainland's cultural industry, and jointly promote the prosperity and development of cross-strait cultural undertakings. At the same time, we do not allow a small number of people to make money on the mainland while supporting the "Taiwan independence" separatist activities on the other. We do not want the healthy development of cross-strait film and television exchanges to be politically polluted by the "Taiwan independence" forces. The DPP authorities and a handful of "Taiwan independence" forces continue to spread false news in the field of cross-strait film and television exchanges and create lies, with the purpose of disrupting cross-strait exchanges and deliberately creating contradictions and estrangements between compatriots.
