The invesgations are closed. The anti-terrorist judges charged with carrying out the investigation into the Nice attack which left 86 dead on July 14, 2016 on the Promenade des Anglais have completed their files, a judicial source said on Thursday.

The courts informed the parties that they had closed their investigation. This opens a period of one month for the observations of the parties and for the requisitions of the national anti-terrorist prosecution, before a final decision by the judges on the holding of a trial, which cannot take place for a year at best.

On July 14, 2016, the attack committed on the Promenade des Anglais, at the end of the fireworks, by the Tunisian Mohamed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel, and claimed by the organization Islamic State, had done, according to a report communicated by the Guarantee Fund which compensates the victims, 86 killed, 206 injured and 1,360 traumatized people.
