The anti-terror services of the Civil Guard have detained a Daesh supporter in Madrid . This is a 48-year-old Guinean citizen who used social media to launch threats against state institutions.

According to the public note of the Armed Institute, the detainee published in his social network profiles> ( Twitter basically) messages with threatening, insulting and slanderous content against state institutions or public personalities. Among them, representatives of the judicial world and the National Intelligence Center . Furthermore, these messages also included express references to terrorist organizations, specifically Daesh. It introduced its iconography and the flags that represent the terrorist network. The Civil Guard notes that attacks against these personalities were encouraged, including targeting the King of Spain, Felipe VI.

The detainee, originally from Guinea-Bissau , without known job occupation and who had obtained legal residence in our country, had numerous police records in Spain, including crimes in which violence would have been used, such as robbery with intimidation and injuries. The Civil Guard describes him as a "dangerous and unstable" individual, pointing to the features of what specialists define as a possible lone wolf. He was in prison and released in 2015.

He was currently systematically failing to comply with the containment measures ordered by the coronavirus alarm state. Civil Guard specialists warn that the jihadist plots, mainly Daesh, have instrumentalized the current health alert situation, urging their followers and supporters to take advantage of this moment to commit attacks in Europe.
