Earlier, State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin appealed to the prosecutor's office of the Saratov Region with a request to verify the data on the purchase of medical masks at 425 rubles apiece.
Information appeared on the government procurement website that 10 thousand medical disposable non-sterile masks will be purchased at budget funds at 425 rubles each.
On April 29, a mandatory mask regime was introduced in the region. Masks must be worn outdoors, in public places and in vehicles.
