One or more crooks pretended to be an existing company and offered to sell pharmacies equipment and products to protect them against coronavirus. The scammers faxed to 22,000 pharmacies in France proposals to sell masks, overshoes, disinfectant wipes or hydroalcoholic gel. The offer seemed to come from the Créapharm group, based in Reims (Marne), says France Bleu Champagne-Ardennethis Wednesday.
The usurped group intends to file a complaint
The company logo appeared on the documents and several fax recipients called the number indicated on the documents. They wanted to order these references, which are so difficult to find and offered at surprisingly reasonable prices. Faced with this usurpation of its name and logo, Créapharm announced its intention to file a complaint.
