Clément Delpirou, who heads press activities for Altice Médias and has been managing director of Liberation for two and a half years, will leave the group in mid-June, a spokesman for AFP said, confirming press reports.

"After two and a half exciting years at the head of Liberation, I will leave my duties by mid June to embark on a new adventure", announced Clément Delpirou in a message sent to the employees of the daily, of which he is co- manager and general manager.

"Until then, my priority is to continue the encouraging trajectory of the newspaper despite the difficult context. I remain mobilized on a daily basis to limit the negative impacts of confinement on our activity and further accelerate the success of our digital subscriptions which should exceed 40,000 at the end of April ", continues this message.

"We are obviously working with the management of Altice Médias to draw the outlines of the new organization and we will give you more information as soon as the containment comes out around mid-May," he adds.

This former manager of the professional press group Infopro Digital had been recruited by Altice at the end of 2017 for his digital expertise.

At Liberation, he was the 6th general manager in two years.

He also managed L'Express until Alain Weill took control of the magazine a year ago.

This departure comes when Altice reorganized its governance in January, by appointing Arthur Dreyfuss to the post of managing director of Altice Médias France, replacing Damien Bernet (recruited since by Netflix).
