France presents the mapping of the coronavirus for a differentiated deconfinement
Text by: RFI Follow
In France, the maps of the departments classified "green" and "red" were presented Thursday evening by the Minister of Health. They indicate in particular the rate of circulation of the virus in each department and they will be taken into account at the time of deconfinement. Territories in green will have more freedom than those in red.

Two factors were aggregated to classify the departments: first the rate of circulation of the virus in each of them, and then, the hospital pressure on the intensive care beds.

From May 11, a third criterion will be introduced: the level of preparation for carrying out tests and screenings.
In total, Thursday evening, 35 departments out of 101 were classified "red". But beware, this is a photograph at a time T. and the situation is of course evolving. Each evening, a new card should also be presented.
Next week, May 7, we will know the frozen card that will be used to conduct the deconfinement . Because there is all the usefulness of this color code: the deconfinement will be wider in the territories classified "green", and more restricted those classified "red".
For example, the “red” departments could continue to see their parks and public gardens closed after May 11, but also their colleges and even certain businesses locally.
