30 April 2020The French Professional Football League (LFP) has applied the government decision which, due to the Covid-19 epidemic, has decreed the definitive suspension of the 2019-2020 season of Ligue 1. The League Council has made official the ranking final with Paris Saint-Germain champion after 28 days played. Marseille (in second place 12 points away) and Rennes won the places in the next Champions League, while big disappointed among the big ones is Lyon, relegated to seventh place and out of the European cups in the next season.

Toulouse appeals against the decision
What is not yet known is whether the last two teams will be relegated to the table (the third last would have had to play a playoff with the third in Serie B). Pending clarification, Toulouse, which at the time of the interruption was last in the standings with only 13 points in 3 wins, 4 draws and 21 defeats, announces through its president, Olivier Sadran, that he will appeal to the court if it is established that must go back. This was because he was not condemned mathematically and therefore, playing the remaining 10 games, with 30 points available, he could have reached Nimes, third last with 14 points ahead of Toulouse.
