Teacher Elin teaches distance learning: "Missing direct contact with students"

The high schools in the county follow the government's recommendation on distance education because of the corona pandemic. At Midgårdsskolan in Umeå, digital classrooms are used and students and teachers seem to think that things are going well, even though students are slightly more positive.

Elin Sjöström, on the other hand, sees as a teacher no direct benefits of distance education, but still thinks it worked well.

- It's an adjustment for all of us and it was a lot of work in the beginning, but it has worked well and the students are doing as best they can. Some students think that they can work more concentrated, but in the long run you may feel isolated in any case, says high school teacher Elin Sjöström.
