The Ministry of the Interior has sent an official letter to the Madrid Government Delegation regarding the possible infraction committed by former Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy for, supposedly, skipping the state of alarm by doing sports in the vicinity of his home in the capital.
In a video, broadcast on April 14 by La Sexta, Rajoy was in the surroundings of his house wearing sports clothes and, according to that television station, it was not the first time, since his outings to exercise were habitual and they had caused the complaint of some of their neighbors.
Sources from the Ministry of the Interior have indicated to Efe that, after these complaints, the National Police carried out the essential checks and a week ago sent the account of the events to the Government Delegation.
However, for the moment , the file has not been opened pending other procedures, according to sources from the Delegation.
The sanctions for this type of infractions could suppose for Mariano Rajoy a fine superior to 600 euros.
