The food markets, closed on the orders of the Rhône prefect at the start of confinement, will gradually reopen from Monday 4 May. Thirteen of them obtained a waiver to resume service in all of the nine districts of Lyon. But these will be “small markets” on which barrier gestures must be respected.

For this, the city of Lyon indicates that it will set up for each of them a "system of wardens", barriers and a direction of circulation. “Mandatory distance marking will be carried out in order to enforce the rules of distance between consumers. Traders will have to follow strict sanitary guidelines and customers will not be allowed to touch the products, ”she said. Customer entry will also be limited to one person per household. Finally, parking around the perimeter of the markets will be prohibited.

The list of 13 markets

In detail, here is the list of markets that will reopen: Croix-Rousse in the 1st (Wednesday morning) St-Antoine (Tuesday morning), Augagneur (Thursday afternoon) and Gabillot (Friday morning) in the 3rd arrondissement, that from Petite place de la Croix-Rousse (Saturday morning), Geoffray (Wednesday morning) and Schweitzer (Sunday morning) in the 5th arrondissement, Bellecombe (Thursday morning), Saint-Louis (Tuesday morning) 50 and Jean Jaurès (Friday morning ) for residents of the 7th arrondissement, Monplaisir (Thursday morning). Finally, that of Saint Rambert Schoenberg will be held on Friday morning and that of Vaise on Tuesday morning.
