The death toll from the coronavirus has started to rise again in the United States with more than 2,200 deaths in 24 hours, bringing the total to 58,351 deaths. The country also crossed the symbolic milestone of one million cases of Covid-19 disease on Tuesday, about one-third of the total number of cases recorded in the world, according to Johns Hopkins University.

With 2,207 additional deaths from the new coronavirus in 24 hours, the daily balance sheet in the United States started to rise again Tuesday, according to the counting of the Johns Hopkins university which refers. While the number of deaths on a day had dropped around 1,300 Sunday and Monday, the United States lamented 2,207 deaths between 8:30 p.m. local Tuesday (12:30 GMT Wednesday) and the day before at the same time, according to figures from l university continuously updated.

Over a million cases

This brings the American balance sheet of the pandemic to 58,351 dead in total, now exceeding that of the American soldiers killed in two decades during the conflict in Vietnam. A total of 58,220 American soldiers lost their lives during the Vietnam War (1955-1975), according to the official balance sheet published at the National Archives.
