Fanny, the Prime Minister made his speech last night on the implementation of deconfinement. You are on your farm, in Boisset, it is interesting to have a rural perspective on what is announced by the government.

Yes Mathieu it is interesting to take into account the reactions of people in rural areas, especially those of elected officials from small municipalities. In this period of crisis, it is first of all the mayors who have to turn even more than usual into a superman. I spoke with some of them from surrounding municipalities to understand their management of the deconfinement potential to come. It is not simple, mayors are faced with logistical as well as economic challenges - Suddenly the time is to manage, courage and good will as much as possible.

Fanny how do the inhabitants react?

Self-help is the watchword. I have rarely seen so much resourcefulness. Some feel invested with a mission-For example, my dear neighbor Marie-Théréze made 200 masks in three days to equip an entire village. Several other residents do their daily shopping for the elderly and frail because it must be remembered that in rural areas the convenience store and supermarkets are not just around the corner, sometimes it takes a half hour to drive go and stock up.

As for the rural schools preparing this deconfinement?

Even if there are still a lot of questions, the director of the primary and kindergarten is not very worried because she knows that more information will reach her from the rectorate, but the reality is that she do not know how it will do if more than 15 pupils return to school - because the single classes which include more than 15 pupils are classic in the countryside - Another detail which is not one: if several pupils remain at the house how to manage the face-to-face and the distance: that is to say how to do both the class in situ and ensure the video session. There is also the uncertainty of the opening of school canteens and also some mayors are asking the question of school bus, because the bus is very small and in no case it is possible to leave a place between each student.

The conclusion to be drawn is that deconfinement in the countryside will be managed as much by public services as by the inhabitants themselves and will be done in very different ways compared to cities.
