As the regional office of the organization indicates on its Twitter page, in all, more than 33 thousand cases of infection have been detected in Africa.

“More than 33 thousand cases of COVID-19 were recorded on the African continent, more than 10 thousand cases of recovery and over 1.4 thousand deaths are reported,” it is said.

Most cases of coronavirus were detected in South Africa (4793), Egypt (4782) and Morocco (4115).

Earlier, the head of WHO, Tedros Adhan Ghebreyesus said that the situation with the spread of coronavirus infection in Africa is worrying.
