The trips around the Åkereds school in Näset have been many. After about 40 children reported that they had been bothered by the indoor environment. The same alarm had come from students at the school as early as 1988 - when large mold damage was detected under the floors.

"You get sad and angry when it is like this, given that the school would be demolished several years ago," said Marie Gunnlert, who has children at the school, at the beginning of the year.

"We thank you all"

After several investigations of the indoor environment where they looked at walls, ceilings and floors, it was decided that the school should be evacuated. The students were then temporarily transferred to the Kviberg School. In connection with this, the message came that the school would be demolished and replaced with a new one.

But in the fall, the students will move back, though to pavilions to be placed near the school. In an information letter to the parents, Principal Anna Börjesson writes: “We thank all of you, and not least your children, for how well you have handled the situation in recent months. (...) We hope you feel satisfied with the solution. "

The idea is that the pavilions should be used until the new school is completed.

"Finally"

Marie Gunnlert says the message was very welcome.

- Finally! So nice. That's what we've been fighting for so it feels very good. Now we just hope they get the barracks in place for the school start this fall, she writes in an e-mail, after she has been told that pavilions should be set up.
