Qatar has allocated five hospitals and four health centers to treat patients with the Corona Virus, in addition to a hospital for medical isolation with a capacity of 12,500 beds.

The Director of the Public Health Department at the Ministry of Health, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Thani, said in an interview with the Qatar News Agency (Qena) that the health centers are testing, examining and reserving suspected cases of corona.

Al-Thani pointed out that 10% of those infected with the virus do not have clinical symptoms, which confirms the importance of conducting the survey and performing other laboratory tests.

He added that since the beginning of the Corona outbreak, the total number of laboratory tests conducted by health authorities in Qatar has exceeded 88,000.

He pointed out that the authorities have allocated approximately 30 hotels equipped with the highest standards of security and safety for quarantine, in addition to individual and other rooms for families, and there are dedicated clinics within hotels for medical and paramedical cadres to manage cases, evaluation, monitoring and follow-up.

Qatar today recorded 677 cases of the virus, bringing the total to 10777, including 10 deaths, and 1134 recovered.
