A little scent of deconfinement. If you walk around Toulouse (with your derogatory certificate), you will happily notice by sliding an eye behind the palisades that at least one site has resumed: that of geotechnical surveys, core drilling in short, prior to the site of the third line metro, still announced for late 2025.

"During the six weeks off, we continued the studies but we need these technical elements on the basement to specify the positioning of the structures and stations," said Francis Grass, the president of Tisséo Engineering.

More complicated for the cable car construction site

Core drilling, carried out in four locations, consists of taking samples of soil by drilling fifty meters deep. They are done, specifies Tisséo Engineering, with the approval of the health authorities and in accordance with the rules defined by a charter drawn up by building professionals.

On the other hand, the date for the resumption of operations for the construction of the urban cable car, which was to be commissioned at the end of the year, "has not yet been fixed". Unlike the rather “light” work in progress for the metro, that of Téléo was in full rush at the time of confinement and involved several companies. The recovery is much more difficult to coordinate than for soil surveys.
