April 28, 2020 "For me, this is the time when we need a leader, a president, like Joe Biden." With these words Hillary Clinton officially announced her support for Joe Biden in the race to the White House during a video conference on the impact of coronavirus on women.

"I am excited to be part of your campaign, not only to support you, but also to help you highlight many of the issues that are at stake in these presidential elections," he said and "I want to add my voice to the many who have supported you for be our president, "said the former First Lady, former Secretary of State and former Democratic presidential candidate in the last election.

"I wish you were president now," he added, "think about what it would mean if we had a real president, not just someone who plays one on TV."

The challenges posed by the coronavirus represent "the moment of reckoning to create the America we want," said Hillary Clinton.
