It is allowed for this year's students to make the traditional leap at the student. But only in those schools that have the opportunity to do so in a safe way, where students run into smaller groups, where fewer relatives receive, and especially if congestion can be avoided. That message was given by the Director of Public Health Johan Carlson at a press conference on Tuesday.

- So there will be no major joint ceremonies, no gatherings or parades for the whole school. School classes on truck lanes should not, according to the Public Health Authority, be present, says Johan Carlson.

- You drop the classes classically or in smaller groups, some single relatives show up, you stand scattered so you are not crowded with others, and then it is over, says Johan Carlson.

The student body is not allowed - the police can intervene

The Public Health Authority has also asked the Swedish Transport Agency to remove the exception that normally allows parties on truck flakes at the student. If this happens, the police can then intervene if it still does.

- From both Uppsala and Lund the message is that the party is canceled, and so we must think ahead, says Education Minister Anna Ekström (S).

- The student celebration that so many have looked forward to and longed for will be different than it usually is. It will not be a big leap to the jubilant sea of relatives and friends, there will not be big bales, student discs, student flakes and other big parties, says Anna Ekström.

Anna Ekström to the students: "I understand that you are disappointed"

As for student admissions, the message was to keep the societies as small as possible, and only invite those you meet in normal cases - those who belong to at-risk groups, or who feel sick, are asked, as usual, to stay home and avoid social contacts.

The Minister of Education turned directly to the high school students who are disappointed with the rejected student celebration and urged them to be responsible.

- I understand that you are disappointed, that you had wanted to finish your high school time in the same way that your big brother and others did before you. Party with your friends, grandmother and grandfather at the fountain. That will not be the case this year. You are an adult now, on you rests the same great and heavy responsibility as on other adults in our society, says Anna Ekström.
