A relay antenna of the telephone operator Orange was damaged by a fire Sunday evening in Plaintel (Côtes-d'Armor), this Tuesday 20 Minutes learned  from the public prosecutor of Saint-Brieuc, confirming an information from the newspaper Ouest-France . The criminal track is no doubt for the investigators, a heap of pallets having been found on the spot. An investigation, entrusted to the research section of the gendarmerie of Rennes, was opened.

When contacted, the operator indicated that between 1,000 and 2,000 customers were affected by this fire. "We have to wait for the experts' report to find out the extent of the damage," said one from Orange, which does not know at the moment whether the tower of the relay antenna has been damaged.

The regional daily newspaper Le Progrès reported on Friday that several Orange relay stations had been the target of arson attacks in the Jura in recent weeks, depriving several hundred mobile network customers.
