The municipal audit that was done after it was discovered that responsible politicians and the headmaster of Laholm municipality deliberately bought school furniture without procurement was harsh in their criticism. And today, the Laholm City Council will decide on the responsibility for the illegal furniture purchase at Glänningeskolan's school start last year.

Not recommended for discharge

Responsible politician, Maria Bronelius (C), who at the time of the furniture purchase, chaired the BUN, the Children and Youth Committee, is recommended not to be given discharge, according to the audit. There is also sharp criticism of the political leadership in the audit for not taking responsibility for the procurement deficiencies. Something that the municipal council's chairman Erling Cronqvist (C) resigns.

The City Council decides

The City Council will today decide whether or not to grant Maria Bronelius discharge - that is, whether she should personally take responsibility for the illegal furniture purchase. In the worst case, she may be liable for damages for the illegal purchase of furniture. You should also discuss the management's responsibilities.

Maria Bronelius has herself written in a letter to the City Council that she assumes full responsibility but explains that the decision was made to save the start of school.
