April 27, 2020 "I think it was a bad evening last night. We waited with the governors hoping that there was a slightly different approach than that announced by the premier", declared the president of the Region Luca Zaia at a press conference, by the way of measures for Phase 2 of the Covid-19 emergency.

"In these moments it always takes a sense of responsibility and objectivity but as much as you put in it, it cannot be missed that it turns out that they are giving indications that they are creating fibrillation".

"The approach must be a little more rational," added Zaia, "and we must understand that sacrifice can be done but without prolonging it in this way. We must, however, open up".

"We are in a historical moment where we are talking about tests, rapid tests, serological tests, therapies and treatments that we didn't have just two months ago. We could and should have made an extra effort", said the president of the Veneto Region, Luca Zaia. "We cannot become a laboratory or guinea pigs, we must also live - stressed Zaia -. It would be like saying that we close all roads because there are too many accidents. There is sustainability".

"I say that you could and should make extra effort. I don't have it with the scientific committee, I don't say that you are not right. We know how to do things perfectly, but then there are experiences that help to find a balance situation ".

"It is difficult to deal with the issue in this way. We have a thousand messages per hour, they are not messages from conspiracy theorists, they are messages from people who say 'we have made 2 months of quarantine and now it will open', messages from people who want go to work. I have no messages from people asking me for my citizenship allowance or income, the Venetians want to work. We start again, the Government must not go away with the integrated handbrake ". This was stated by the president of the Veneto Region, Luca Zaia, during the daily press conference to take stock of the coronavirus emergency, at the headquarters of the Civil Protection of Marghera (Venice).

"Our recession - concluded Zaia - is the recession of Italy".

"This is the best way to fuel social conflict." The president of the Veneto Region Luca Zaia said it when commenting on the new government decree for phase 2 of the Covid-19 emergency. "Or do the devices work and then we had to open everything or what are we talking about? I seem to be in front of an unrecognizable world now. If you go to reopen you must also think about families and schools, something must be done. Otherwise it is difficult to deal with the issue so'".
