According to figures put forward by Alain Bazot, the number of claims decreased by 90% with confinement, traffic being now limited. "As permitted by the insurance code, consumers can request, since there is a reduction in risks, a corresponding reduction in the premium." He believes that the reduction in contributions should be "of the order of 10%".

"It is not alms"

If some mutuals have already consented, the majority are reluctant to grant this discount. "The insured suffer, many are on partial unemployment, artisans no longer work," said Alain Bazot, who hopes to benefit from the assistance of the Minister of the Economy, Bruno Le Maire, in his approach.
