The Paris Bourse began the week on a sharp rebound (+ 2.55%) Monday, galvanized by the new support measures from the Bank of Japan (BoJ), pending the verdicts of its European and American counterparts later this week.

The CAC 40 index gained 111.94 points to 4.505.26 points, in a low trading volume of 2.5 billion euros. Friday, it had ended in net decline (-1.30%).

This week will be under the sign of "macroeconomic meetings with the two meetings of the American and European central banks (respectively Wednesday and Thursday), and microeconomic meetings" with in particular "the results of technology companies in the United States" , summarizes with AFP Alexandre Baradez, an analyst from IG France.

But as for central banks, their influence was palpable on Monday with "the Bank of Japan, which decided to spend unlimited on purchases of sovereign bonds and which mainly tripled the ceiling of purchases of bonds companies, "he notes.

And "it reassures the market to have this support in terms of purchases", according to him.

Investors have been able to ignore, still notes Mr. Baradez, less encouraging signals, especially on the oil side, whose prices fell sharply on Monday.

The relaxation of containment restrictions in several European countries, where the coronavirus pandemic is stalling, as well as the prospect of a gradual recovery in activity in the United States, also contributed to investors' optimism. .

On the state debt market, the spread between the German ten-year rate and the Italian rate of the same maturity continued to narrow on Monday, a sign of relief for investors after Italy's rating was maintained by S&P Global Ratings agency on Friday.

On the statistics side, reflecting the violent shock on the containment economy, the number of unemployed people registered in March in France a historic increase over one month (+ 7.1%).
