The President noted that now all efforts, first of all, are focused on the fight against the spread of coronavirus infection, but this should not weaken the attention to other potential threats.
“The spring-summer period has come, which means that the risks of seasonal natural disasters: fires and floods objectively increase. Especially in the territories of the Far Eastern and Siberian federal districts, ”he said.
Putin emphasized that in a number of regions the situation is already quite complicated.
In every constituent entity of the Federation, one hundred percent readiness to respond to any emergency must be ensured.
According to him, taking into account this extraordinary situation, it is necessary to clarify all plans to warn citizens about threats. Putin noted that it is necessary that emergencies of a natural nature do not provoke local outbreaks and foci of coronavirus infection.
“All cases should be taken under special control when families, citizens have lost property, housing, and were left without the most necessary. Financial and material support, payments and compensation should be carried out immediately, ”the president said.
He added that helping injured citizens and ensuring the safety of people is a priority.
