Private student parties worry about infection control doctor: "Think about"

It was during Monday's press conference that it emerged that various parts of the county are currently being prepared for large private student parties and graduation parties. According to data for Region Blekinge, there can be hundreds of invited participants - at each party.

Infection protection physician Bengt Wittesjö knows the plans and strongly advises against participating.

- It's not forbidden, but everyone has their own responsibility in this. My recommendation is not to participate in larger social contexts. Attending such a party is very inappropriate, says Bengt Wittesjö.

He believes that smaller parties for, for example, closing classes can be accepted.

- To meet in class is totally okay.

This week, the municipalities will now also increase control of the county's pubs and restaurants.

- To anyone who wants to eat is the urge to avoid congestion. If it is crowded on a rack then it is better to move on, says Bengt Wittesjö.
