by Tiziana Di Giovannandrea April 27, 2020 The President of the Lombardy Region, Attilio Fontana, delivered to Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte a report on the work of the Development Pact , the institutional discussion and dialogue table with all the main players and with the interested parties in the system Lombard.

At the Prefecture of Milan, Conte met the mayor Giuseppe Sala and Fontana, together with the prefect of Milan, Renato Saccone, Carlo Bonomi, the new president of Confindustria, and Carlo Sangalli president of Confcommercio. The Prime Minister's visit to Lombardy is the first since the pandemic caused by the Coronavirus broke out and it was an opportunity to listen to the requests made by the interested parties to face, to overcome the economic emergency and to restart.

In the Region document, the topics covered in Phase 2 are: support for families , support for businesses and local public transport, non-refundable interventions for tourism and culture .

"In addressing the main topics of discussion - said Fontana - some key issues shared by the whole table emerged, which require answers from the government. I thought it appropriate, having learned of the meeting tonight, to deliver a report of work to the Prime Minister ". 

In the report for the re-start, specifically asks the overcoming of NACE codes , interventions grant for 'lockdown areas ', such as tourism and culture, tax exemption and social security and reduction of local taxation .

In the section dedicated to economic recovery , there is also talk of supporting businesses with investments, support for liquidity and capitalization, as well as extensions for payment terms and for participation in calls for tenders and training.

As regards organization in the workplace , the Lombardy Region proposes the continuation of smart working and online sales, the modification of business and commercial hours, obviously in compliance with safety protocols and with monitoring of places of work.

Giuseppe Sala, on the other hand, asked the Prime Minister to be generous with families : "I asked President Conte to be a little generous towards families, to help them at this stage. I think it is very important for Milan where we have 120 thousand families family members with children under the age of 14. We go ahead, what we can do we will. " Sala explained that, in addition to our possibilities, the great Milan volunteer system will be called "together, so that from mid-June there will be opportunities to welcome the children who need it. We call it Summer School but more than teaching it will be play, fun in the dark ".
