"In Moscow, 44 patients died who were diagnosed with pneumonia and tested positive for coronavirus infection," the report said.
Over the previous day, 31 patients with COVID-19 died in Moscow.
Earlier, the city authorities reported that in Moscow over the week a growth of 70% in the number of hospitalized with pneumonia was recorded.
