US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced today, Monday, her support for Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden to contest the race to the White House on November 3.

Pelosi said in a video message, "Today, I am pleased to support Joe Biden to take over the presidency of the United States, because he will be an exceptional president."

The Democratic Party has not yet officially named Joe Biden, 77, as his candidate for the presidential race pending the August conference, but he has become the only candidate by Democrats after his opponent, Bernie Sanders, withdrew early this month.

Two months after the primaries in which nearly thirty states voted, the results of Sanders who presented a left-wing program were very far from those achieved by Biden who is now considered the figure capable of gathering the centrist-electing base in order to defeat President Donald Trump in this 2020 presidential election.

A large majority of the party's figures gave their support to Joe Biden during the primaries, and former President Barack Obama announced his support for Biden two weeks ago.

Since the new Corona virus began to spread, the campaign has stopped and Biden shows little from his home as he records videos.
