Spain is severely affected by the corona crisis and has had some of the most severe restrictions in the world. Paula Arghe Ripoll, a resident of Barcelona, has been home for 42 days with his partner and two children.

- It was actually a little more enjoyable than a feeling of freedom, we haven't been out in six weeks so it felt a little unusual. At the same time, it was very nice to get out and go a little, ”she says of the first outdoor stay.

It is about children under the age of 14 from Sunday being allowed to stay outdoors one hour a day in the company of an adult who lives in the same household. One adult is allowed maximum responsibility for three children at a time, and this can only happen once a day, according to The Local.

Empty streets

Despite the new freedom, families with children can only move one kilometer from home. And it is still forbidden to visit playgrounds. But coming out into the streets again felt almost nervous, Paula Arghe Ripoll says.

- We have been locked in for 42 days and have had no social contact with anyone. But the worst thing is that people do not follow the instructions. I felt that many did not respect the distances, ”she says.

Despite the unrestricted restrictions, the streets were fairly empty.

- It was pretty quiet, I was expecting a lot more people.

"Poor all children"

You have a five year old and a newborn, has it been hard to be locked up?

- So, poor kids. They have been such fighters. But yeah, it's been pretty tough. They climb the walls.

How else are you doing?

- Luckily, we like to be at home so I would say that we are doing well under the circumstances.

Further relief

If the number of new coronary cases continues to decrease, it may also be relevant to further ease the restrictions. From May 2, the Spaniards will be allowed to go out to exercise, according to a statement from Prime Minister Pedro Sanches during the week that went by.
