“Today, with respect to the request of the investigation, the city court has taken a preventive measure in the form of detention in respect of the former head of the resort city of Pyatigorsk,” TASS quoted the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the North Caucasus Federal District.

On April 16, it was reported that the head of Pyatigorsk, Andrey Skripnik, left his post due to the situation with the coronavirus. The acting head of Pyatigorsk was appointed Lev Travnev.

On April 25, it became known that a criminal case was opened in the Stavropol Territory against the former and. about. the head of Pyatigorsk, Lev Travnev, suspected of abuse of power, was detained for 48 hours.
