Dubai Health Authority reported that it has allocated telemedicine programs through the "Doctor for Every Citizen" platform to treat children and people with chronic diseases. The idea of telemedicine is based on the patient getting medical and treatment services through a smart means of communication.

The authority told «Emirates Today» that it also made available a visual medical consultation program, through the “Salama” program of the electronic medical file, allowing auditors to follow up their treatment plan with the specialized doctors.

She stated that the program provides doctors with the option to request medical tests and prescriptions, enabling the customer to take advantage of the "My Drug" initiative to deliver the medicine to his home. The Authority also provides home health services for senior citizens, which is represented by medical staff visits to the customer’s home to complete the treatment plan.

The "Doctor for Every Citizen" project provides a video and audio communication service between customers and doctors.
