As he noted, if Georgia recalls its ambassador to Ukraine due to the appointment of Mikhail Saakashvili as Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister for Reforms, then the Georgian side will have more problems than Kiev.

“If we have diplomatic problems, then Georgia will be stronger than ours. This is not the United States, which says: "You will have diplomatic problems." This is Georgia. We must not forget about it, ”the observer quoted his publication.

He also added that personnel decisions are the sovereign right of Ukraine and no countries can indicate Kiev in this matter.

“Someone took someone, not even in the first person, not in the second, but the deputy prime minister. Why then do such a political aggression? It’s very strange to see when a small country nearby, which is much smaller, reacts to the sovereign decision of our country, ”he said.

Earlier, Georgian Prime Minister Georgy Gakharia said that Tbilisi considers unacceptable the possible appointment of Saakashvili as Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine. According to him, if this step is approved, the country will withdraw its ambassador “at least for consultations”.
