It started with hundreds of young people gathering with their vehicles in the Boland. When the police went to the scene, the situation turned out to be messy.

- They destroyed the surroundings and we also got one of our cars smashed. The traders also signaled that they were very worried about the development. It has escalated, says Lisa Sannervik.

The police are increasing their presence

Recently, several young people have moved from the Boland to Gränbystadens parking. The police have noticed that more and more people are gathering at the same place, and it was estimated at 200-300 people last week.

- The problem has been moved there. We are worried about crimes being committed. We meet young people who drink alcohol and we have pushed several of them home. We have directed some resources there and are working with the youth group. Would also like parents to keep an extra watch.

"We will act when we need to"

The police's main job right now is to increase its presence.

- People want to meet and then this is a good place. But when there are so many, there is a risk of crime as well as alcohol and drug abuse. This is alarming, says Lisa Sannervik, municipal police.

What powers do you have based on the fact that no more than 50 people may be gathered at public gatherings?

- We can't disperse them because there are too many in the same place, but if they become too messy and dangerous we can step in. Now we will continue to supervise and act when we need to act.
