The first Tarawih prayer was held in the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina yesterday evening, the first night of the blessed month of Ramadan for this year 1441 AH, after the approval of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, to establish Tarawih prayers in the Two Holy Mosques and reduce them to five deliveries and complete the Holy Quran in Prayer of tahajjud with the continued suspension of worshipers ’entry, in order to prevent the spread of the Corona virus.
The General Presidency Agency for the Prophet’s Mosque has provided all care and attention through preventive measures to all sites in the mosque and its facilities in coordination with the various departments and relevant authorities.
The agency has also intensified cleaning and disinfection works with environmentally friendly sterilizers and detergents subject to high requirements and specifications that do not affect public health, in addition to thermal cameras that reveal the temperature of people while entering the mosque, which works with high accuracy at a non-stop distance
