Amazon ordered to restrict its activity in France. The Versailles Court of Appeal confirmed, on Friday, April 24, the court decision limiting Amazon's activity even if it widened the list of products that the company can continue to deliver (IT, health, nutrition, groceries , drinks...).

The court also limited the penalty to 100,000 euros per offense instead of one million euros, and maintained the assessment of professional risks within the company.

The judicial court of Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine) had summoned the American giant, on April 21, to restrict its activity to only food, hygiene and health products and to carry out an assessment of the professional risks weighing on Group employees.

Amazon then appealed and closed its warehouses pending the results. The company now has 48 hours to apply the court decision of the court of Versailles.
