▲ Annapurna avalanche accident site search where the body of a Nepali guide accompanied by a Korean was discovered on the 22nd

In January, the body of a Nepali guide was discovered in the Annapurna accident scene in Nepal where four Koreans disappeared due to an avalanche.

According to the Korean Embassy in June, the villagers near the scene of the accident discovered the body of a Nepali guide who disappeared.

Earlier, four teachers belonging to the Chungnam Office of Education went missing during an avalanche along with three Nepalese guides while descending from the Annapurna Deuraly lodge on January 17th.

The body of one of the missing Nepali guides was discovered in late February and found the body of another Nepali guide.

It was also reported that at the time around the avalanche site, bags and oils that appeared to be missing Koreans were discovered.

As a result, the likelihood of finding other Koreans who were missing at that time also increased, officials from the rescue authorities said.

In Nepal, national containment orders have been put in place to curb the spread of corona19, and full-scale search by soldiers and police has been suspended.

Instead, residents of nearby villages have organized their own search teams to observe the accident scene every day.
