April 23, 2020 "As of today, I will no longer be part of the M5S parliamentary group. A difficult choice, but one that has come about after a long period of reflection". Antonio Zennaro communicates it on Facebook.

"I do not deny an extraordinary experience, where I have been able to work with respectable people, but too many and constant disagreements towards management and choices in economic matters do not allow me to continue.

The lack of a strong and clear policy in support of small businesses - he explains - the VAT numbers, the craftsmen, the merchants and, more generally, evident political gaps in favor of development, considering among other things my professional and cultural history, do not allow me to go further. series of events, situations, behaviors and humiliations suffered only for having expressed my views or ideas on the sector of my competence, but it is clear that there are important responsibilities for having severely limited a wind of change, what we all imagined after on March 4, 2018. Thank you for the great moments spent together with many M5S colleagues. Too bad that this change stopped for some magic circle too much. arrogance of some members of the Government to whom the M5S mistakenly entrusted "full powers" in economic matters, which did nothing but boycott and put people like myself in a corner.

But the most serious thing is the difference between the electoral program and what "really" has done. In these 2 years have we reduced the bureaucracy for businesses? No. Did we cut taxes? No. Did we help small business owners? No. Did we give concrete help to the middle class? No. Cut costs in electricity, gas and water bills? No. And these are just some of the many things that could be done, because there were many good ideas, but for arrogance, incompetence and a sense of unjustified supremacy, they were never seriously considered. Especially in this very difficult historical moment, the Movement does not seem able to find ideas, projects and proposals to bring Italy out of the post coronavirus crisis. My battle for an Abruzzo and, in general, a more modern, more efficient Italy with less bureaucracy and less taxes continues in Parliament. I will continue to support President Conte, a respectable person whom Italy cannot do without at this particular moment. "
