To show their appreciation for the work done by the healthcare staff during the pandemic is done in every possible way by both companies and private individuals. Some offer free food for the staff and others drop the parking fee. Several regions are now debating whether staff should be taxed for the gifts.
The Swedish Tax Agency believes that the basic rule is that all compensation you receive as your work is taxable.
