“21 reconnaissance aircraft and six reconnaissance UAVs conducted aerial reconnaissance along the borders and were accompanied by Russian radars,” the newspaper said.

The defense department noted that over the past seven days, aviation forces took to the air twice in order to prevent violation of the state borders of Russia.

Earlier it was reported that the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Army General Valery Gerasimov and the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the NATO Allied Forces, General Tod Walters, had a telephone conversation.
