Saudi Arabia and Qatar announced that Friday is the start of the holy month of Ramadan, while many countries have taken preventive measures, including curbing wandering during this month, in an effort to counter the spread of the Corona pandemic.

Yesterday, Egypt, Iraq, Tunisia and Lebanon announced Friday the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.

Qatar and Lebanon called for prayers during the month of Ramadan in the homes until the outbreak of the Corona virus.

On Wednesday, the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in Qatar announced the establishment of Tarawih prayers and the Friday sermon in a mosque in the capital, due to a limited amount of Corona virus.

Curfew
In the framework of the procedures to confront Corona, the Emirates News Agency said on Thursday that the government reduced the duration of the curfew imposed throughout the country by two hours, to start from ten in the evening until six in the morning during the month of Ramadan.

The UAE is considering the possibility of reopening commercial centers in it, taking into account precautionary and precautionary measures, one month after their closure, to stop the outbreak of the new Corona virus.

The Emirates News Agency said on Thursday that the Ministry of Health and the National Authority for Emergency and Crisis Management directed the local economic authorities to study the possibility of reopening commercial centers in consultation with their private sector partners, taking into account health requirements and precautionary and preventive measures.

In Egypt, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said on Thursday that the government will maintain the night curfew imposed to combat the outbreak of the Corona virus during the month of Ramadan, but will reduce it by one hour.

Madbouly said in a televised news conference that the ban would start at nine in the evening, instead of at eight in the evening until six in the morning.

This allows families to gather in their homes, but community activities, group prayers, and Tarawih will be subject to the ban during Ramadan.

In Pakistan, prominent doctors asked the government on Wednesday not to allow large numbers of worshipers to gather in mosques during the month of Ramadan, because this would accelerate the outbreak of the new Corona virus in a country where the authorities were unable to ban the prayers of the group.
