It was one night in mid-August last summer that the man must have shot at three wild boars on Jordö in Ronneby municipality. According to the lawsuit, the shots were fired near a summer cottage.

After shooting the wild boar, the 59-year-old must have sat in his car, driven 350 meters and then seen two animals in a pasture. The man then stopped the car and fired a couple of shots at what would later turn out to be two cows. One of the grazing animals was pregnant.

Accused of serious hunting crime

One of the cows died directly on the spot while the other pregnant cow was shot in the back and was killed shortly thereafter. Neither did the calf.

The man goes through the incident but denies the crime and says in interrogation that he thought it was wild boar he shot at.

The 59-year-old is now being charged with gross foul hunting for killing the cows, wrongdoing by the hunting team for exposing the wild boar to unnecessary suffering, and for hunting crime for illegally hunting in another's hunting area.
