The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department announced the expansion of the Abu Dhabi Court of First Instance, in a remote litigation system using the visual communication system, to include all civil departments, personal status, rents, inheritance, urgent cases, in addition to the case preparation departments, in the framework of applying the remote action plan And the continuity of the work adopted by the department in line with the efforts of the state to limit the spread of the emerging corona virus "Covid-19".

The Undersecretary of the Department, Counselor Yousef Saeed Al-Abri, stated that the expansion of activating the remote litigation system includes all judicial departments in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, in response to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Head of the Judicial Department, to support the business continuity system To strengthen the department's leadership ability in emergency and crisis management at the judicial sector level in the world.

Al-Abri added that the judicial system in Abu Dhabi has proven during the current crisis its effectiveness in maintaining the quality of the judicial services provided, by diversifying its working methods to meet the requirements of changing circumstances, without prejudice to the legal controls of the litigation process, where the judiciary committed to excellence in performance in terms of the speed of adjudication of cases. The quality of judicial rulings, in addition to simplifying procedures with a view to facilitating access to justice in accordance with legal legislation, and contributes to preserving the safety of department employees and dealers. It is reported that the application of the remote litigation system in civil courts comes according to the second article of Decree of Federal Law No. (10) for the year 2017 on civil court procedures, which provides for the fulfillment of the provisions for the collection of fees, registration, advertisement, presentation of documents, presence, publicity, and pleading, listening to witnesses, interrogation, and deliberation , Issuing judgments, submitting appeals and implementing all its procedures, if they are completed in whole or in part through remote communication technology.
