In light of the outbreak of the new Corona virus (Covid-19) around the world, and in the interest of the safety of citizens, the Egyptian embassy in Cairo evacuated a number of citizens of the country from the Arab Republic of Egypt and made sure of their safe arrival to the territory of the country.

Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Khaled Abdullah Belhoul said that 43 countries were covered in the evacuations carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through which 86 air and ground evacuations were carried out for the citizens of the UAE and their companions so far, and the equivalent of 2286 people were evacuated, and 11 evacuations are underway. Over the next few days, it targeted 755 people.

The Undersecretary stressed the keenness and follow-up of the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation on the full progress of work within a series of measures that the state has worked from the beginning of the crisis until today to ensure the safety of the country's citizens abroad and facilitate the procedures necessary to evacuate them to the UAE, in coordination and cooperation with the National Authority For the management of crises, emergencies and disasters, and all the concerned authorities inside and outside the country.
