“The UAE has dedicated itself to working as an active partner and active participant in the international community in light of global efforts to combat the emerging corona virus, and there is communication and coordination on the political, economic, social, and educational levels between the two countries,” said the UAE’s ambassador to South Africa, Mahsh Saeed Al Hamli, in this regard. And the arrival of the first aid provided to South Africa is a testament to the lasting partnership between our two countries, and the common commitment to eradicate this virus and support South Africa’s efforts. ” The UAE assistance to South Africa comes within the framework of the continuous efforts made by the country to assist other countries in their efforts to contain the virus.

The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Dr. Tedros Adhanum Gebresos, praised this efforts on April 15, and said: “I would like to thank the African Union, the governments of the United Arab Emirates and Ethiopia, the Jack Ma Foundation, and all our partners for their solidarity with the African countries at this critical moment.”
