A 25-year-old woman was in very serious condition on Friday after being stabbed twice while in her car in Aunay-sur-Odon (Calvados). His companion is suspected of having made a first superficial blow, then a second much more serious on the back of the neck, reports Ouest-France .

At the time of the incident, their three-month-old baby was in the vehicle. The victim was hospitalized at the CHU de Caen.

The suspect indicted

The 30-year-old man was arrested three hours later by the gendarmes on a street near the couple's home. The young woman, who had joined her family with her child for confinement, had not lived there for a month.

While in police custody, the suspect only gave confused explanations for his gesture. Already known for theft and occasional consumption of cannabis, he was indicted for attempted murder of a spouse. He was placed in pre-trial detention on Sunday.
