It was during Sunday afternoon that the violent fire started in a villa in Krylbo, in the municipality of Avesta. One person was feared to have been left in the building, while a woman was injured and taken by ambulance helicopter to Uppsala for care.
A suspected offender was arrested during Sunday night at an address in Avesta, suspected of serious murder.
Early Monday morning, police say a person was found dead and the suspect was arrested on suspicion of murder, attempted murder and serious murder. Otherwise, the police do not want to provide any information during the morning.
- We have one deceased, one injured and one person arrested on suspicion of murder, attempted murder and serious murder. Otherwise, we do not disclose anything about gender, age and so on, says Peter Persson, officer in charge in the Bergslagen Police Region.
