Al-Wefaq government forces intensified their raids and shelling against the forces of retired Major General Khalifa Hifter inside the city of Tarhuna, reinforcing its forces and mechanisms in preparation for the storming of the city southeast of Tripoli.

Al-Wefaq government spokesman Mohamed Kanounou said that the Libyan Air Force carried out two air strikes, during which it targeted an armored military vehicle and elements of Haftar forces in the Al-Musabah area in Tarhuna.

He explained that these two strikes were to support Al-Wefaq forces in resuming their progress today, Sunday, according to the plan drawn up by the operations room in the framework of Operation "Storm of Peace" and in response to the continuous shelling of the neighborhoods of the capital Tripoli.

The Libyan Air Force, which is affiliated with the Al-Wefaq government, delivered leaflets to the people of Tarhuna, warning them against concentrating in the locations of the militants, and asking them to stay inside the houses.

On the other hand, Libyan media published scenes of the operation of the Libyan Al-Wefaq government forces' capture of dozens of armed forces of the retired Major General Khalifa Haftar in Tarhuna, south of the capital, Tripoli.

The capturing operation comes at a time when the internationally recognized government forces are being complacent, in a military operation called "The Storm of Peace."

The air superiority of the Al-Wefaq forces has made it possible to tip the balance in their favor in recent days, after activating the security agreement that the Fayez al-Sarraj government signed with Turkey in November last year.

The storm of peace went west along the coastal strip from the capital, Tripoli, to the Ras Jdeir border crossing with Tunisia, and it regained control of it along a seventy-kilometer line.

And so that the capital, Tripoli, does not remain an exposed waist in front of Haftar’s forces, the Berkan Anger forces turned the weight of the battle toward Tarhuna, the main stronghold that Haftar forces used to launch their attacks on Tripoli.

Al-Wefaq forces succeeded in making significant field progress on the ground from Tripoli towards Tarhuna. It was aided by the air superiority over the past months in favor of Haftar's forces.

Berkane Fury forces have now taken control of the outskirts of Tarhuna City, and controlling the entire city means that the capital Tripoli appeared safe.

on the other hand, local pages circulating, loyal to the forces of retired Major General Haftar, circulated a correct video in the wrong context, they said to bring down a Turkish plane marching in the axis of Al-Washaka, west of Sirte.

After checking the rolling video, and by comparing the pictures of the Turkish drone, known as "Bayrakdar", with scenes from the video, it turned out that it is not the same model.

After further research and comparison of pictures of the wreckage of the plane shown in the video, it was found that it is a Chinese Wing Loong drones owned by the Emirates, and it was shot down on Sunday morning by the forces of the National Accord Government in the vicinity of Abu Qurain, west of Misurata.
